You grant Alexandria a limited licence to process your content solely as necessary to provide the Service (e.g., converting text to audio, syncing highlighting, analytics to improve reliability). The Service integrates with third‑party providers, including DeepInfra (TTS), OpenRouter (AI models), PostHog (analytics), LaunchList (waitlist), and Bento (analytics/events). Use of these services is subject to their terms and policies. We take reasonable steps to contract with reputable providers and safeguard data.

The Service, including software, design, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Alexandria and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have our written permission.

16. Copyright & DMCA
Alexandria is a reading library, and the people who create what you read deserve to have their work protected. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512), we respond to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement and may remove or disable access to infringing material.

Repeat infringer policy: Alexandria terminates, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. If your account receives two valid DMCA complaints within any rolling 12-month period, your account will be permanently terminated. Alexandria does not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect their works.
